Consumer

In consumer PR sometimes it comes down to a simple headline. Yet the consumer goods industry is experiencing complex times.

"Can't get a date? Time to brush your teeth and visit the dentist."

In consumer PR sometimes it comes down to a simple headline. Yet the consumer goods industry is experiencing some pretty complex times:

  • Developed markets still present opportunities, but with challenges: tight credit conditions and a decline in real wages in the UK, less spending and more price sensitivity in the US;
  • China retail sales have continued at a fast clip; India is growing well but inflationary fears are high; in Brazil a sizeable market is developing as poor households move into the middle class;
  • Other prospects for future growth - Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, Colombia - are investing in modern distribution systems.

As for getting a date, an oral-healthcare company asked us to generate awareness in Singapore. In just two days, we generated dozens of news placements - and some pretty catchy headlines at that - all worth about $95,000 in media buys.
