MSLGROUP Expands US Leadership Responsibilities
Senior Leaders Take on New Appointments in New Organization Poised for Growth
New York, September 9, 2016; As part of its ongoing strategy to integrate its operations across the U.S. and align with Publicis Groupe’s priorities of collaboration, client service and growth, MSLGROUP has asked several senior leaders in the U.S. to take on expanded roles and responsibilities:
- Danielle Wuschke will take on a U.S.-wide role, leading operations across the country and working closely with the CEO on key priorities and strategic projects. Wuschke will retain her role as Managing Director, Boston and Global Practice Director for Technology.
- Sheila McLean, Senior Vice President based in the Washington, DC office, will lead MSLGROUP’s enhanced Citizenship & Sustainability offering across the U.S., continuing her longstanding work in this area and unifying the exceptional capabilities that exist in the New York, Detroit, Chicago and Washington D.C. offices.
- Archie Smart, Executive Vice President who leads the digital and interactive services in the Washington, DC office will take on responsibility for unifying MSLGROUP’s digital social offerings across the country, working with digital leaders in all nine offices.
- MSLGROUP is also connecting our creative staff in the U.S. (located from Atlanta to Detroit, Seattle and New York) under a centralized creative project management team. To enable this, George Conboy, Strategic Planning Director, will now have a U.S. responsibility for strategy and creativity. Conboy will coordinate with creative leaders across MSLGROUP’s offices and serve as the primary link to the exceptional creative resources across Publicis Groupe.
According to MSLGROUP’s CEO of U.S. Operations, Ron Guirguis, the new roles and responsibilities are part of the overall strategic effort to optimize our value to clients and enhance our performance as we prepare for a future of strong growth. “We are building something fresh and new here in the U.S. – taking a broader view of our operations to improve the way we share resources, talent and expertise and collaborate with our Publicis partners,” he said. “We are in the midst of a year in which we have won important new assignments and tremendous opportunities to move our business forward, with several of our units delivering double-digit growth that has far surpassed our expectations. These new roles and responsibilities will help us build on this momentum and deliver on our strategy as we close out 2016 and look to 2017 and beyond.”
In addition to these new responsibilities, MSLGROUP has also specifically focused on the restructure of its New York operation. The agency has eliminated five staff positions, including three Senior Vice Presidents. “This move was a necessary step to properly set our New York business for the future. We thank our departing staff for their contributions to our business and wish them well.”
The New York operation will also be welcoming the rapidly growing Publicis agency, Rokkan, with the move of its New York office to 375 Hudson St. “It’s going to be a win/win for both units,” Guirguis said. “While our business won’t be operationally integrated, we won’t be building physical walls either. We will engage the Rokkan team with our staff and our clients whenever we can and vice versa. Rokkan will bring a heightened level of energy and creativity to our environment.”
