MSLGROUP, Publicis Groupe's flagship speciality communications, PR and events network, today announced three senior appointments in Asia to support MSLGROUP's growth plans in the region and practice and service offerings for clients.

19 April 2011, Singapore: MSLGROUP, Publicis Groupe's flagship speciality communications, PR and events network, today announced three senior appointments in Asia to support MSLGROUP's growth plans in the region and practice and service offerings for clients. The three appointments announced today are Josh Shapiro as Vice President, Operations & Client Solutions, MSLGROUP Asia; Ricardo Roces as Regional Finance Director, MSLGROUP Asia; and Erin Hanson as General Manager, MSL Singapore.

The three appointments add to MSLGROUP Asia's industry-leading network development, including four acquisitions in the last six months with 20:20 MEDIA and 2020Social in India, Eastwei Relations in China and Interactive Communications Ltd. (ICL) in Taiwan. In addition to new agencies, MSLGROUP Asia's organic growth in 2010 was industry-leading and the network has also recently announced the launch of a global design and creative offering named CREATIVE+, based in India, dramatically expanded its digital and social media team, unveiled numerous insights reports including the recent whitepaper on microblog communications in China, and expanded assignments with existing and new clients across the region. With 27 owned offices and 850 staff in Asia, MSLGROUP is among the largest agency networks in the Asia region and offers a broad array of speciality communications services.

Josh Shapiro, Vice President, Operations & Client Solutions, MSLGROUP Asia, will oversee regional functions including client development, finance and operations, agency marketing and talent in his expanded role. He will also work closely with offices across the region to develop client-centric teams and expand speciality communications services offerings, such as digital and social media, corporate reputation management and employer branding. He will continue to report to Glenn Osaki, President, MSLGROUP Asia. Shapiro joined the MSLGROUP Asia team in January 2008, transferring from the MSLGROUP Atlanta office's business development team, and previously served as Business Director, MSLGROUP Asia. He will continue to be based in Beijing.

Ricardo Roces, joins the MSLGROUP Asia team as Regional Finance Director, based in Singapore, relocating from New York, where he has been serving as MSLGROUP Global Controller. Roces' new role will encompass responsibility for all of MSLGROUP's finance operations in Asia, working closely with finance directors across the regional network and key MSLGROUP Asia clients. With seven years experience at MSLGROUP, Roces brings world-class financial and operational strategies, processes, and tools to existing offices and newly acquired agencies. He relocated to Singapore with his wife and young daughter on April 18.

Erin Hanson joins the MSLGROUP Asia team as General Manager, MSL Singapore, also relocating from the agency's New York office. In her new role, Erin will work with Yvonne Koh, Managing Director, MSL Southeast Asia, to oversee the next chapter of development for the Singapore office. During her three years at MSLGROUP in America, Erin has led award-winning teams and campaigns from its New York office, spearheading global strategy and implementation for global MSLGROUP client Procter & Gamble. Her deep expertise in consumer marketing, including influencer marketing and social media, as well as experience with global brands will benefit MSL Singapore clients.

Recently nominated for Agency of the Year and recognised by the International Social Media Marketing Bees Awards, MSL Singapore has quadrupled in size over the last 18 months to 25 staff and has built a strong reputation in the marketplace for strategy and client service. One of MSLGROUP's fastest growing offices in the region, MSL Singapore houses established teams in corporate communications, B2B and technology communications, consumer marketing, healthcare, and digital and social media, and works with some of MSLGROUP's largest clients across Asia. In addition to Erin's appointment, the MSL Singapore team has further strengthened its senior talent recently, with a string of hires at account manager level expanding its speciality communications capabilities and reflecting its growth as a trusted advisor to local and regional clients.
