MSLGROUP Americas seeks an Account Supervisor for our MSL
Atlanta office within our healthcare practice group.
The Account supervisor will be an integral member of the team
for national healthcare and consumer health accounts, and will be
responsible for the execution of PR plans and day-to-day account
activities. The AS will be responsible for reviewing technical
healthcare information and translating the data for
consumer-friendly consumption. The role will also include project
management, strategic planning, media relations, writing and event
execution. Managing overall client satisfaction is key.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing PR plans to support communication goals (consumer and
healthcare professional facing); involved in presentations of
concepts to clients;
- Developing and implementing creative strategic programs that
produce superior media and business results for clients;
- Managing account team implementation of agreed upon programs to
deliver desired results on-time and on-budget;
- Leveraging traditional media and digital/emerging technologies
for PR programming and influencer outreach;
- Monitoring projects to ensure that deadlines and quality
standards are met;
- Defining and exceeding campaign measurement and evaluation
criteria;
- Day to day client relationship management and counseling;
responsible for client satisfaction;
- Event planning and medical meeting support;
- Writing strategic messaging documents, press releases, fact
sheets, pitch letters, and articles (traditional and bylined);
and
- Executing tactical elements of client programs from start to
finish, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must have specific public relations experience with
pharmaceutical companies; knowledge and experience with surgical or
medical device industry is a plus
- Recent agency or in-house corporate healthcare industry
experience is required;
- Candidate must be able to move at a fast pace and understand a
high-pressure environment where deadlines are demanding;
- Proven excellent writing skills are a must, particularly
someone with science-focused writing experience;
- Candidate must demonstrate strategic thinking abilities
preferably with a science and healthcare experience;
- Strategically minded with demonstrated experience writing
communications plans;
- 6+ years experience in healthcare public relations at an agency
or corporate in-house;
- Experience in event planning, advocacy, patient recruitment,
medical meeting support, internal communications and data
promotion;
- Solid relationships and working knowledge of key online/offline
media influencers/journalists, particularly specific to healthcare
communications;
- Fluency and/or familiarity with digital and social media
required;
- Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional
public relations and the use of current online/digital technology
and social media;
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills;
- Experience with strong program measurement and
evaluation;
- Experience working on multi disciplinary (holistic)
communication initiatives is preferred;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a larger team, and
comfortable advancing projects in a self-directed fashion - seeking
input at critical milestones. Must be proactive and client-service
focused; and
- Great attention to detail, organization and multi-tasking are
essential to this position.
